Bella Flan was created to share comfort, culture, family recipes, and the kind of hospitality that makes people feel at home. What began with dessert has grown into a Cuban bakery and café built around coffee, pastries, sandwiches, flan, and heartfelt service.

Bella Flan began with a simple idea: make food that brings people together and leaves people feeling cared for. From the beginning, it has been about sharing comforting flavors, warm hospitality, and the feeling of walking into a place that feels welcoming and full of life.
Bella Flan is truly a family business. Family support shapes the business behind the scenes, in food preparation, and in the way guests are welcomed every day. That hands-on effort is part of what makes Bella Flan feel personal, genuine, and full of heart.
Bella Flan started in 2020 as a dessert concept inside Corner Food Mart in Garland. What began with flan and other homemade desserts quickly built a loyal following and became the foundation for everything that came next.
As Bella Flan grew, so did the vision. What started as a dessert business expanded into a full Cuban bakery and café experience, leading to our Richardson location where guests now come for Cuban coffee, fresh pastries, pressed sandwiches, flan, and more.
Flan will always be at the heart of Bella Flan. It is where the story began, and it is still one of the clearest expressions of what Bella Flan stands for: tradition, comfort, and food made with care.
Over time, that dessert foundation grew into something bigger. Today, Bella Flan is known for Cuban coffee, pastries and pastelitos, sandwiches, flan, cakes, and other desserts that make breakfast, lunch, and special occasions feel more memorable.

Bella Flan’s story did not stop with the Richardson café. We still sell desserts through our original Garland retail connection, now Guapitos Taqueria Tortilleria y Fruteria, and select Bella Flan desserts can also be found at partner locations across DFW.
That continued growth is an important part of who we are: a local café with roots in Garland, a home in Richardson, and a growing presence across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We hope Bella Flan feels like a place that adds something good to your day — whether that means a morning cafecito, pastries for the office, a Cuban sandwich at lunch, or dessert to bring home and share.
Bella Flan began with dessert, grew into a café, and continues to grow across DFW, but the heart of the story is still the same: make people feel welcome, and serve food made with care.
For us, good food is only part of the experience.
Bella Flan is meant to feel welcoming, personal, and full of heart. We want people to walk in and feel taken care of, whether they are ordering one coffee, picking up a box of pastries, planning catering, or stopping by for dessert after a long day.
